About Paraxis

The institutional advisory practice
for investment data.

Paraxis Investment Data Solutions is a specialist practice for market data procurement, governance, audit defense and operating-model design. We work alongside the institutional axis of our clients — close to the decisions, not external to them.

Our story

Why Paraxis exists.

Paraxis was founded on a simple but powerful insight: market data has become one of the largest and least-controlled expenses for financial institutions, yet most firms lack the specialized expertise to optimize it effectively.

The practice is built from former market data leaders, vendor management professionals and compliance experts who have worked on both sides of the table. We understand how vendors think, how audits are triggered, and how to deliver durable savings without disrupting mission-critical access.

We are not generalist consultants. Market data cost optimization, licensing compliance and usage governance for asset managers, hedge funds, investment banks, and private equity firms are the entire scope of the practice. Our team has collectively managed billions in market data spend, defended hundreds of vendor audit cycles, and delivered measurable 15–30% cost reductions while holding full compliance posture intact.

“We are not consultants who learned this from textbooks. We ran these programs. We sat in your chair. We know what works because we have done it.”

Our approach

Three discipline lines that shape every engagement.

  • Demand shaping

Align what the firm actually consumes with what the business needs. Strip the redundant feeds, right-size the user licenses, retire the unused entitlements.

  • Distribution engineering

How data flows from the vendor into the firm and across applications. Architecture decisions made once and documented, not rediscovered every renewal.

  • Commercial leverage

Negotiate against benchmarked rates, not list price. Total cost of ownership, audit posture, and renewal terms read together rather than in sequence.
